Honeywell HT-900C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, BlackHoneywell HT-900C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, Black

Louder than expected but still awesome. -- 2010-02-17
I live in a small room and the fan is quit good at keeping it cool, which I have to do because if I change my thermastat to how I want it my pipes freeze. It is louder than I expected but I'd compare it to having a computer in your room running with 7 fans and if you're a computer user you're already kind of use to that level of noise eh? It does have a problem staying locked at a low position though :( That's the only flaw imo. Hope my review helped.

Honeywell Fan -- 2010-02-15
The fan works excellent! it has three variable speeds and is quiet and also uses a low amount of energy. I like that you can Change the angle of the fan. Also it fits on my night stand. Great buy especially for the cost!

Quiet strong laptop cooler -- 2010-03-08

Works well is silent and over a year has done the job well and presented no problems. I will buy another for my next college bound kid.

Quality piece of merchandise -- 2010-03-05
So far so good! I've had this thing for several months and I'm pleased with it. It fits in my backpack (though it needs the large compartment) and it keeps my laptop cool to the touch. Unlike other cheaper models I've burned through quickly, it seems quite robust, both in terms of the solid hardware and in the easy-to-use USB cord connecting it up. Someone else mentioned the way it feels on his/ her lap, saying that it pokes a bit. I haven't noticed that, but I have noticed that it scratches my desktop. The back has a piece of metal that comes right down and has left quite visible marks on my desktop. (I finally got a cover for the desk which solves the problem.) This minor annoyance aside, I'm quite happy with the device and I fully recommend it. Just be aware!

works. it's loud -- 2010-02-26
loud, but fuctional.
We don't have to take our screen out to run this fan.
the high settings really move some air.

very good product - pleased with purchase -- 2010-02-25
This fan works well and seems a fair (as in expected) value for the money.
Nice features and it moves air well - whether in exhaust or intake mode.
The only minor complaint is the noise. Though not excessively noisy, it's
presence is known if 25 feet from the unit. All things considered, and
given the others I have seen on the market, I would purchase this again.

Good fan -- 2010-02-26
Very good fan for the price, the remote doesn't hurt, either. Good buy for the money...

Great fan -- 2010-02-21
This fan works great in the gym. I keep the remote on the treadmill and can turn it on without having to miss a step.

lasko 40" tower fan -- 2010-02-21
just a heads up on this fan...........ours made noise almost immediately and the way to remedy this is to grease the bearings in the motor - you have to have mechanical knowledge to take care of this. nothing else will work!

Love it! -- 2010-02-13
This fan works well and fits in crammed corners. I LOVE the remote control on it. It's nice and quiet but puts out a steady stream of air!

Lasko 6Lasko 6" Personal Fan - White

Perfect little fan -- 2010-01-29
Don't look for this fan to have any effect on a large room, however, for those small rooms with limited space, this little fan is pretty good. I live in a CHU in Baghdad, which is a little smaller than a college dorm, so considering the limited space, this fan is perfect AND quite. It's perfect for small spaces and if you don't want to disturb those around you! Much smaller than I expected!

disapointment -- 2010-01-26
This was my first experience with amazon and I was extremely disappointed when I opened the package to see this pathetic looking fan nestled loosely between sealed bags of air. I bought this fan because no department stores will sell fans during the winter since it is a "seasonal" item, I use them to sleep, the noise is all I need and this device offers very little. plus the cord is too small and to lightweight, it keeps falling over. I would buy another but the rest look just as worthless

Holmes 7 Twin Window Fan HAWF2021-UHolmes 7 Twin Window Fan HAWF2021-U

nice unit -- 2010-03-09
This is a good unit for the price. I bought a pair, partly for when I don't want to run the A/C during the summer and partly because I like to have a cigar and don't want to always go sit outside and have one. What little time I've had to use them, they do a good job. They are a little loud on high, but I can get over it. I don't have any real complaints about them.

Window Fan -- 2010-03-04
Works as well as it should for the $18 I spent on it. I thought that the fan would have and intake and an exhaust fan...however, you have to spin the unit around in the window to take advantage of it. All in all keeps the air moving through my apartment.

Sweet little fan with an added bonus (or two)... -- 2010-02-28
I actually bought this fan at a sporting goods store (rhymes with Rick's) and have used it several times camping. I typically sleep with a fan on at home, so I needed the white noise. Perfect.

As an added bonus I realized that propping this sucker up against a fledgling fire meant I'd never stick my face in a fire pit again!!! It works beautifully! And, at 14 bucks who cares about the random hot-coal blemish. Better than burning your face. ;)

The two D-cell batteries it requires weigh as much as the fan itself, so I thought I'd try a couple Eneloop AAs. I charged a couple up, stuck them in their D-cell adapters and got about 7 hours of consistent speed, petering out at 9 hrs. Not bad! Certainly enough for a good night's sleep. Take it a step further and get a solar recharger such as the flexible type from Powerfilm (and a Fenix LD20 flashlight... but that's another review)and you'll have two batteries charged, two on standby.

If you only take it for the fire-stoking, it's well worth it.

Enjoy!!

Sub standard design and materials !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- 2010-02-08
Horrid design on battery cover - placement screw is substandard, will strip out with first use; I had to 'pry' open battery cover to insert batteries; Not worth the money, time or stress !

Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating FanLasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan

Great looks, size, speed but high-pitched whir/whine -- 2010-03-03
POSITIVES
Love the color, relatively compact size, and fan speeds. Low is great for desktop or personal fan as long as it's not blowing right on papers. Oscillation makes a good sweep too.

CONS
Too tall if you need this to fit under an overhead bin in an office cubicle. The machine also has a moderately-high pitched whir/whine that is louder than the sound of the air blowing. I returned the first one and the second one was quieter the first time I plugged it in, then just as noisy as the first one. I could hear the whir/whine from another room even on low speed. If your office is not super-quiet or you are not using this as white noise it's still a great choice. Otherwise I'd keep looking.

Great Value for the $ -- 2010-02-06
I purchased this fan for work which is a large office space. The fan is quiet and is not distracting when in use on my desk. It does not affect my phone when it is in use either. I enjoy the fact that it can be stationary or oscillate. I also get a lot of good compliments about my fan from coworkers.

Honeywell HT-904C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, WhiteHoneywell HT-904C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, White

an excellent, compact, quite fan -- 2010-02-25
I am so pleased with this Honeywell fan, I think more than any other. I bought it to circulate the air in my bedroom. It's a 12' by 12' room with a 10' ceiling. I open my window a crack at night to let in cooler air, with this fan I can aim it up toward the ceiling. on low I can barely here it, I can't even feel a draft like I do with my other traditional style fans. if it works this well circulating air conditioned air I'll be replacing my other two fans with these Honeywell fans.

The previous model was great, but this one not so much -- 2010-01-08
This fan replaced the previous model HT-804. I purchased the 804 for my daughter's room last year and it has the right combination of power and noise to circulate the air through her room and provide white noise for sleeping. I needed another fan for my new baby's room and purchased the 904 model. What a disappointment: the tilt feature is useless since the motor housing is so heavy it just tips the fan back to a 45-degree angle whether you want it that way or not, complete with a loud click that effectively wakes up a sleeping baby. Also, the fan is much quieter than before: not good if you want white noise. Lastly, we've only had this fan for about 3 months and it's starting to fail. When it is first turned on, the blades won't spin by themselves anymore. I have to get something skinny to stick through the blade guard and spin the fan blade to get it going. Once it warms up it works fine and circulates the air, but that doesn't outweigh the problems so I'm looking for a replacement. Save your money - I wish I had.
