 | Honeywell HT-900C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, Black
Honeywell fan -- 2010-08-25 We have bought several of these fans since they first came out. For such a small footprint, they move a tremendous amount of air. Recently I tried to buy another locally, only to discover that none of the stores carried the smaller models anymore. When I found them on Amazon, I placed an order for two. One is in use and doing an excellent job. The other is still in the box, stored in the closet.
Thanks,
Everything they say it is -- 2010-08-16 I was looking for a high-output desk fan. The Honeywell far surpassed my expectations. Moves a lot more air than any similar fan I've used. Pretty quiet about it too. Solidly made. I've not had the issue with "tilting up" that some have reported. Heck, the thing is wall-mountable. Excellent all-around value.

 | Bionaire BW2300 Twin Window Fan with Remote Control
The overall effectiveness and performance of the Bionaire BW2300 -- 2010-08-31 I have experienced overall satisfaction with the user-friendliness, the available features, and the effective performance of both of the units I had purchased through Amazon. Not only did I feel that it was worth the cost with "no tax and no shipping/handling" charges applied, but the at-the-door delivery was very expeditious having received each seperate shipment on the third and fifth day with the weekend included. This is a testimony of complete customer satisfaction and earned business in the making; with appreciation...
kitchen fan -- 2010-08-10 this fan turned out as expected. seemingly good quality, excellent features and quiet operation.

 | Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan
Lasko fan -- 2010-08-27 I am happy with the fan overall. The only complaint that I have is that due to its small size and lack of weight it takes two hands to operate the push button controls.
Relief from the heat -- 2010-08-26 I just moved to a workspace where the temperature is much too warm for my comfort. My desk is quite small so after reviewing the options I purchased the Lasko 4000. The low speed is more than sufficient to keep me cool and I love that it oscillates without making any additional noise. My traditional fans always seem to rattle and vibrate. That said, the fan is not completely silent but it certainly is not extremely loud either. I don't agree with the complaints about it being too noisy. Right now I have it on the low setting and I can still perfectly hear my radio which is turned down quite low, the people around me talking on their phones and even the person in the next cube chewing her ice. The high speed is noisier, but still, not so much that one can't talk on the phone or hold a conversation with it on.
I'm going to purchase a second one for my bedroom. The footprint is small enough that I will be able to place the fan on my night stand without interfering with the other items there. Either speed isn't so noisy that it will prevent sleeping.

 | O2 Cool Battery or Electric Portable Fan, 10 Inches, 1071
Hurrican Season Is Here. -- 2010-08-27 I was one of the lucky people without electricity for over two weeks after Hurricane Ike hit Houston. This fan was the only thing that made things bearable. I went through a lot of batteries but it was worth every penny. I now have two of these; one I keep in my car during the summer, just in case I have car trouble and have to wait in the heat for help to arrive.
Three days ago, we had a huge storm. The power was out for hours after the storm blew threw. I took my fan down to the pool area where people were trying to get cool. Needless to say, I was very popular.
buy it -- 2010-07-20 this is a good product i recommended this for any one looking to buy a fan O2Cool 1078 Indoor/Outdoor Battery/AC-Powered 10-Inch Portable Fan

 | Miallegro 1760 Air Ionizer Tower Fan with Remote Control (Oscillates internally)
Happy with tower fan -- 2010-09-02 I recently purchased this tower fan and am very happy with it. The internal oscillation is a nice feature as well as the internal remote storage. It operates quietly on all 3 speeds and the 2, 4, or 8 hour timer is useful. I purchased this fan as a result of the lack of decent fans in our local stores and am very happy with it. The fans at walmart were inferior to this one on build and features.
Too Weak -- 2010-09-02 I will be real honest, I really expected more power from this fan.
PRO
-Looks like a high quality tower fan on picture
-Very quiet
-Air flow is consistent, and smooth
-Internal oscillation was a cool feature (because its different)
Con
-Looks cheap in person (especially the chrome)
-I can barely feel the fan from more than 5 feet away on full power =(
-Remote is useless because of the weak flow, you wouldn't want to keep the fan more than 5 feet away, which you can pretty much reach just by leaning over to change the settings.
-Internal oscillation cause you to not be able to see where the fan duct is pointing so when you don't need it to oscillate, you will have to play with the adjustments and STOP it at the RIGHT moment without having to physically turn the whole unit (which is what I just do for now)
Conclusion
I'm too lazy to return it, I would return if I actually got this in a store. I have a chaise in the corner of my living room and this is perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon nap. It is very quiet and gives a gently breeze. But if you are hot, this thing won't cool you even if you stick your entire person unto the tower!
3 stars cause I'm nice, and shipping was on time.

 | Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900
fan -- 2010-09-04 the fans were a good price shipping cost was good fast delivery work really well .
Almost Superb - Air Stream Too Narrow -- 2010-08-31 Note: using this blower under the dinner/picnic table is a great way to keep diners comfortable without cooling down food and blowing around napkins.
As the other reviews state, this is a very good blower. It's lightweight, powerful, and quiet. I just wish you could adjust the width of the air stream it produces. We use this blower primarily on the deck to keep cool and prevent mosquitoes from landing on us (as well as the occasional drying job or working outdoors). The blower does this well, except since the air stream is so narrow, only one, maybe two people can enjoy it at a time. I would gladly sacrifice some power for wider coverage. I also wish there was a fourth, very low setting (in addition to the high, medium, and low), so we could use this blower as a personal fan comfortably (it's usually too strong for that even when set on low). Otherwise, if you added a remote and oscillation, it could be the world's greatest fan!

 | Holmes 7 Twin Window Fan, HAWF2021-U
light weight, efficient, and a little noisy -- 2010-08-28 This product is easily moved around, as it is light weight, and fits the window , very well, as it has an adjustable side. The main negative I find, is that it is noisy. It has a loud "whinney" type noise. So, if you're going to use it to bring in the cool air for just a while, then turn it off, it is great. However , if you are going to allow it to stay running while you sleep, it may take some getting used to. All in all, I find it efficient and an inexpensive way to cool the room or several rooms. It works just as easily as an exhaust fan, when turned around.
cheap window fan -- 2010-08-20 This was the least expensive window fan available with Prime shipping at the time I bought it for 29.47. It works as well as you'd expect, but it is pretty loud. Changing the speed from HI to LO doesn't really make it any quieter, it just changes the pitch of the noise. Other than that it works fine.

 | Lasko Oscillating Pedestal Fan with Remote Control, 18 Inches, 1854
Happy customer -- 2010-08-19 I am very happy with this product. Especially liked the super shipping savings and how quickly I received the fan. Will contunue to use Amazon. I have always been happy with service.
This Fan Blows... -- 2010-08-11 ...very well. It moves a lot of air, and oscillates as well. The remote control is quite nice. A really nice fan.

 | Vornado Compact 530 Air Circulator, 3 Speeds, Black, CR1-0073-06
Vornado 5308 3 speed compact air circulator, black -- 2010-08-17 I like the fan. It is bigger than I thought and louder than what I read on the advertisement. It does the job for one room but I am hoping you can make a quieter fan in the future.
improve AC efficiency greatly -- 2010-08-09 Consumes 60W at the highest speed, but makes the room feels much cooler. Certainly saves a great deal of energy considering that most HVAC units consume more than 1000 W.
Very useful in improving the efficiency of AC units that are installed near the floor. Cold air tends to stay near the floor. Without this circulator there can be 5-10 degree difference even within a 300 sqf room.
It is less useful in the winter (again for HVAC units that are installed near the floor), because warm air is more likely to spread to a wider area on its own as it ascends. But the circulator stills help bringing the warm air from the ceiling back down to the floor.
Noise level is OK, and you can't barely notice it at the lowest speed level.
The most efficient way to utilize this circulator:
(1) After turning on your AC units for 20 minutes, use a infrared thermostat to find out the coldest spot within a room. It is usually right on top of the AC unit.
(2) Place the circulator on that spot, and point the air flow toward the ceiling area on top of where you usually sit (e.g. the sofa if you are watching TV).
(3) the circulator will drive the cool air upward (without the intervention it tends to settle down in the floor area in front of and not very far away from the AC unit), and then slowly descent from above you. And you will feel a lot cooler because of the cool air and the breeze.
Comparison vs. Honeywell HFT114B Oscillating Super-Turbo High-Performance 3-Speed Fan:
The Honeywell fan is $13 cheaper, consumes less energy (40W), its fan face can oscillate about 60 degrees, but you won't feel a thing standing 5 feet away from it. The two are as noisy at the highest speed level. Finally, the plastic material looks much sturdier in the Vornado. Conclusion: I would certainly buy another Vornado if I need a second fan.
