Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate, White/GreenPanasonic NI-S300TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate, White/Green

Good Iron -- 2010-09-01
so far is working very good. It is light weight and one of the best features is the retractable cord, it makes it much more easy to storage.

Fantastic iron -- 2010-08-24
Watch out Rowenta ... the $23 Panasonic is a VERY capable adversary!
If you actually enjoy ironing, and find it therapeutic, as I do ... then you know what your high standards demand. A smooth glide along both axes, reliable steam bursts that do not create a puddle, a misting jet spray, and above all, a truly non-sticking soleplate. Well, used to be that you had to spend $50+ for an entry level Rowenta to get all that.
The Panasonic NI-S300TR makes it all possible, and under $25. It has just the right weight and the glide is effortless. I was skeptical of two things about the soleplate: curving and its titanium construction (I thought they were useless gimmicks). I stand corrected. The curved soleplate means that no matter which direction you glide the iron in, it will not bunch up material underneath it. I also thought that nothing could surpass stainless steel in its non-stickiness. Again, wrong. This iron delivers the same crisp finish of a stainless steel plate.
I highly recommend this iron. I may even buy one more as a backup in case Panasonic discontinues this model.

Love This Iron -- 2010-09-03
I was pleasantly pleased with this iron. The retractable cord allows for better storage, and so far has worked very smoothly. I also like the removable water storage container--it allows for easier removal of water when done with ironing. This iron also removes wrinkles better than any other iron I've used! It is a little heavier, but I wonder if this extra weight adds to the ability to remove wrinkles better! After the first few times using it, I'm now accustomed to the extra weight.

Replaced my Rowenta & can't believe I'm still happy with a Panasonic.. -- 2010-08-26
Initially, I was nervous about replacing my Rowenta. As a former seamstress and sewing teacher, I was madly in love with the Rowenta company for years. However, in recent years, like others, I discovered that Rowenta irons are simply NOT the same iron as in years past. The quality is missing and I think company pride was lost somewhere along the way.

I always paid a good price for an iron, never under $100. I needed a dependable iron with good steaming function and was glad to pay for one that would last me years. However, when my last Rowenta died, I decided that since I was no longer totally involved in the sewing profession, I would settle for a decent iron with a lower price tag.

I depended on the Amazon.com reviews and was quite nervous when I decided to buy this Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry iron. I figured that at only $35 and free shipping, if it died in a couple of months, I wouldn't be out much anyway. I can't believe this iron! Even overnight guests that used it, commented on the steaming and good press that this iron gave their clothing.

PROS: NICE steam -flat or vertical, detachable water tank, stainless steel soleplate, auto shut-off, retractable cord and more. GREAT PRICE.

CONS: Only 1. I would love it if the water tank didn't have to be filled so frequently (compared to other irons I've owned). I keep a sports water bottle nearby to fill quickly.

I've owned this iron 5 months now and I still give this iron 5 stars because of all the PROS.

Polder 1232-82 Deluxe Tabletop Ironing Board, NaturalPolder 1232-82 Deluxe Tabletop Ironing Board, Natural

Unsturdy and no cover -- 2010-08-12
After having used it myself, I now agree with the average view of others on the cover issue. I originally thought it would not be too inconvenient since I iron very little. Additionally, the legs are not sturdy enough to stay upright while ironing so it requires more work to rotate to a new section on the clothing and keep moving. I can probably put a small book under it at the one end to hold it but it should just have been designed better. Overall it is sufficient but I'm sure another 10 minutes of research could yield a better product purchase result.

Easy to use -- 2010-07-26
I was skeptical of this product at first because of how affordable it is in comparison with brand name ink cartridges but the instructions were very clear, the procedure was easy, and the printouts look great.

I don't use my printer that much but do need from time to time for printing out directions or boarding passes. Definitely saved me a lot of money vs. buying replacement cartridges!

Good Quality Iron -- 2010-08-31
I did some research on irons looking for a better iron but not too pricy. Saw this one as one of the better irons out there. Very happy with it. Heats up fast, lots of steam, light-weight. No complaints!

Nice Iron -- 2010-08-30
Has room at the bottom of the iron to wrap the cord around it without worrying that you are wrapping it around the heating source. Weird spring device for the cord is suppose to offer extra cord length but I could not figure this out or see the benefit as it only gave me an extra 2 inches of cord. Lots of steam. Very large capacity for water. Instructions say absolutely no distilled water and to only use tap water. Light. Ironing time seems to have decreased because I only pass over areas once instead of twice like before with my old (highly rated) iron. The red color is a deep red. No on/off switch- you must unplug it. The cord moves easily as you are ironing so that it is never in your way and you never have to think about it. The iron is very tall because of the extra length added at the bottom for you to wrap the cord around.

SteamFast SF-407 1500-Watt Fabric SteamerSteamFast SF-407 1500-Watt Fabric Steamer

Dangerous -- 2010-08-30
I bought this product thinking I would be better off steam cleaning my clothes to pro long their life. And it worked. One thing I noticed with the steamfast is a peculiar smell when I first used it. I thought "hey, maybe this will go away after the first use" Nope. I steam cleaned 5 shirts the third time I used it and the burning plastic smell was so bad that my wife who had just entered the room had to leave immediately. I was light-headed, dazed and a little nauseous. 1.5 hrs later, I am typing this review, still feeling a little weird. DO NOT BUY THIS. You get what you pay for.

Great Steamer at a great price -- 2010-08-27
Our old steamer had broken and we were looking for something fairly inexpensive and useful. We found this one and it is excellent. It is so easy to use, things come out wrinkle free if you steam them soon after they have come out of the laundry.

Don't waste your time with anything else! -- 2010-08-20
Don't waste your time with anything else!

I have had Sunbeam with hand pump, Rowenta with power pump and Conair. The sumbeam was ok the rest were a joke. This one is all you need. I travel weekly and do my suits when I get to the hotel. No matter how bad they get in the suitcase this will bring them back from the dead. No Moving Parts, Holds plenty of regular tap water, Fast, Hot and Plenty of steam.
As always, Amazon it the best.

good, but not great -- 2010-08-20
This little steamer is good for what it is ... but it really doesn't let out as much steam as it should which means i have to move over the clothes very very slowly to steam them. Also, i wanted to steam my mattress but this steamer can't handle being used sideways (water leaks out of the top). it's not terrible, but i probably would not have bought it again if i could go back in time.

Rowenta iron -- 2010-09-03
I was in the market to replace an older rowenta iron that had given us good service.
The specs on this model (DZ5080) appeared to be just the replacement that we needed.
Indeed, we are pleased with our purchase and it was priced reasonably.

Best Iron -- 2010-08-29
This is the best iron I have ever owned. It was the "recommend" model in Consumer Reports and they are not right on every recommendation but they are with this one.

finally found it -- 2010-07-28
I have wasted more time and effort to buy a silicone ironing board cover with pad. I don't think I missed one store trying to get one. This is exactly what I wanted, a scorch resistant cover that fits well and very reasonable. I do a lot of ironing in addition to using it for my sewing items. I know this will be long lasting because I have used this before, but could never find it.How easy it was to order it and have it delivered right to my door. Suggestion....order 2 and keep a spare, just in case you cannot find it again. Amazon came through for me once again.

Good product but expensive. -- 2010-07-18
This product was expensive regarding its simple design and common material. However, my wife likes it, so I am happy.

Love it!!!! -- 2010-08-28
I usually don't take time to write reviews, but I have had my Jiffy steamer for nearly 2 years and I just want to say I think it is fantastic! I always feel a little more put together and wrinkle-free in steamed clothes. If you hang lots of items to dry like I do it is definately worth the money. After my clothes have air or line dried I run the steamer over them and they have the appearance of just bought store clothing.

I also have used my steamer for spring cleaning...just hold the noozle about an inch away from the surface or cleaning and wipe up with a microfiber cloth. Love it!

Overall pleased with this -- 2010-08-20
This is a high quality steamer. You can tell it is well made - the materials are sturdy, although the unit itself is fairly compact and takes up much less room in our laundry room than an ironing board. The question I had when I bought this was whether this will replace an iron completely. My best estimate after having this for a week, is that for 95% of my ironing needs, it will. For sharp pressing needs, like a man's shirt collar, I think we'll drag out the iron. When I first tried the steamer, I was a little nervous because it seemed like hardly any steam came out. It is not a heavy steam flow, but a light, but hot flow of steam - watch your fingers, I've burned mine twice. It is a little hard to maneuver the clothes as you steam them - I think the board that you can hang up would be very helpful, so we may get that later. I steam by hanging a garment on a separate clothes rod and hold the bottom of the garment while I steam the entire item, but when you get to the bottom, you have to move your hand to reach the bottom edge of the garment (again, watch your fingers). The water reservoir holds a lot of water, which is very nice. I also liked the fact that the papers that came with the unit say that they test each unit before it ships to you. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I plan to get many years of use out of it and I think it will save a little time vs. an iron and I don't worry about damaging my clothes with a faulty iron anymore. An added bonus is that I will not worry about burning the house down with this like I did with the iron (steam vs. a hot piece of metal).

Travel Iron -- 2010-08-31
I love this iron. I purchased it to take on my cruise this year. It was PERFECT !!

Short Life -- 2010-08-25
I purchased this iron 10 months ago and have used it only on four trips overseas; the non stick coating on the sole plate is now begining to peel off at the edges. The surface is rough so I can not iron anything in fear of tearing the fabric -- the manufacturer has agreed to replace the iron, but I have to pay for shipping. What a bummer! Marginally worth the postage for a replacement. Will the new iron last for one year ??
