Good Iron -- 2010-09-01
so far is working very good. It is light weight and one of the best features is the retractable cord, it makes it much more easy to storage.

Fantastic iron -- 2010-08-24
Watch out Rowenta ... the $23 Panasonic is a VERY capable adversary!
If you actually enjoy ironing, and find it therapeutic, as I do ... then you know what your high standards demand. A smooth glide along both axes, reliable steam bursts that do not create a puddle, a misting jet spray, and above all, a truly non-sticking soleplate. Well, used to be that you had to spend $50+ for an entry level Rowenta to get all that.
The Panasonic NI-S300TR makes it all possible, and under $25. It has just the right weight and the glide is effortless. I was skeptical of two things about the soleplate: curving and its titanium construction (I thought they were useless gimmicks). I stand corrected. The curved soleplate means that no matter which direction you glide the iron in, it will not bunch up material underneath it. I also thought that nothing could surpass stainless steel in its non-stickiness. Again, wrong. This iron delivers the same crisp finish of a stainless steel plate.
I highly recommend this iron. I may even buy one more as a backup in case Panasonic discontinues this model.

Love This Iron -- 2010-09-03
I was pleasantly pleased with this iron. The retractable cord allows for better storage, and so far has worked very smoothly. I also like the removable water storage container--it allows for easier removal of water when done with ironing. This iron also removes wrinkles better than any other iron I've used! It is a little heavier, but I wonder if this extra weight adds to the ability to remove wrinkles better! After the first few times using it, I'm now accustomed to the extra weight.

Replaced my Rowenta & can't believe I'm still happy with a Panasonic.. -- 2010-08-26
Initially, I was nervous about replacing my Rowenta. As a former seamstress and sewing teacher, I was madly in love with the Rowenta company for years. However, in recent years, like others, I discovered that Rowenta irons are simply NOT the same iron as in years past. The quality is missing and I think company pride was lost somewhere along the way.

I always paid a good price for an iron, never under $100. I needed a dependable iron with good steaming function and was glad to pay for one that would last me years. However, when my last Rowenta died, I decided that since I was no longer totally involved in the sewing profession, I would settle for a decent iron with a lower price tag.

I depended on the Amazon.com reviews and was quite nervous when I decided to buy this Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry iron. I figured that at only $35 and free shipping, if it died in a couple of months, I wouldn't be out much anyway. I can't believe this iron! Even overnight guests that used it, commented on the steaming and good press that this iron gave their clothing.

PROS: NICE steam -flat or vertical, detachable water tank, stainless steel soleplate, auto shut-off, retractable cord and more. GREAT PRICE.

CONS: Only 1. I would love it if the water tank didn't have to be filled so frequently (compared to other irons I've owned). I keep a sports water bottle nearby to fill quickly.

I've owned this iron 5 months now and I still give this iron 5 stars because of all the PROS.

Free of cord at last -- 2010-08-31
No longer does the cord drag over the shirt to be ironed! Iron heats rapidly, has high heat and steam that removes wrinkles, stainless steel sole plate glides over fabric, water tank large and easily filled and the retractable cord plus plastic removable outside cover simplifies storage. Replacing iron on charging stand is natural movement. Iron slightly heavier than cord iron because of added metal to retain heat.

Nice Iron -- 2010-08-17
Good weight forr a cordless iron. Does a nice job on the clothes. Would recomend.

Well - it is an iron -- 2010-08-12
After ironing with a regular iron for 40 years maybe I'm just not hip enough the get this new style. I would rather use my conventional iron as I do a better job and I'm faster with the old one. This iron seems to take a while to get to temp and It once in a while likes to belch out a bunch of water. It is our current back up iron.

Get out the spitoon -- 2010-07-27
I've been using Panasonic products for years and have been delighted with them. Not so the NI-W750TS. Took it out of the box and fired it up. Lots of steam, great heat, wonderful design...then it began to spit water on everything. A few water spots are one thing, big brown water spots are another. I ironed three shirts and had to wash brown spots off two of them using Fels Naptha laundry soap. Put the iron away and tried it the next day. Same problem; spit water no matter what steam setting I used. I ironed a white dishcloth and let the brown spot dry. It took elbow grease and Oxiclean to get it out. The water tank is small: On the high steam setting, the iron runs out of water before you finish ironing one shirt. Also, you can't just turn off the iron and leave it for another day. The iron must be turned off, unplugged, water tank emptied, and set on "dry" rather than steam. It's time consuming, even if you're not in a hurry. Sorry, Panasonic. This time you've lost a customer. I've returned your iron for a refund. Maybe I'll just stick with my 20 year old Rowenta. It doesn't steam very well anymore, but at least it doesn't spit all over my clothes!

Great Iron -- 2010-04-09
Heats quickly & steams well. No leakage so far. Cord retracts well. Great price for this product. No issues so far!

Leaky Iron -- 2010-03-22
While I liked how smoothly this iron moved across my clothes, it leaked almost every time I used it. After only a few months, we gave up and bought a different iron.

Iron for Those Who Hate to Iron -- 2010-07-28
This steam iron makes ironing easy, The steam flows beautifully and the temperature is accurate. It slips alsong the fabric and makes creases disappear. It heats up quickly and doesn't weigh a lot. It navigates around buttons and seems with ease. I'll never use any other iron!

Sorry I bought it -- 2010-07-26
Based on the positive reviews, I bought this iron to replace a Rowenta iron I had for many years with no problems. Today when I began to iron for the second time with this iron, I had problems with leaking, sticking, and overall poor performance. I am now replacing it with another iron rated tops by consumer reports. I iron a lot of blouses and shirts for work so I am very particular in how well an iron performs.

CORDLESS IS AWESOME -- 2009-09-17
I absolutely LOVE my cordless iron. I've wanted one for years and waited until the reviews got better. I so enjoy ironing without hassling with the cord and plug. No animals tripping over the cord. I no longer have to deal with the cord getting tangled. I find I'm willing to iron more often. This iron gets hot enough for the type of ironing I have to do. The steam is great and I like the water spritzer. You need to try this!!

Used, most likely. Also DANGEROUS. -- 2010-02-16
The package says "You may find some moisture remaining inside the water tank. This is due to our testing of the steam mechanism performed at the factory..." That was OK until I noticed a considerable buildup of scale in the vent holes. Where on earth are they testing these irons if one test is clogging the vent holes? I am not convinced this iron isn't used. Here in Phoenix, AZ, the water is hard and there is no where near the buildup this "new" iron has in comparison to irons I've used over the years. Especially considering my lax discipline in the use of their self-cleaning.

Pondering the price and features, I thought of keeping the iron until I read this on page 11 in the manual: "If the Steam/Dry Selector is not in the Dry position after using, remaining water will move into the Soleplate and damage the Soleplate and may RESULT IN BURNS (emphasis mine) during the next initial use of the iron."

That diddy is step 4 in the "After each use" instruction set, step 3 being "Empty the iron..." So, even if you empty the iron, there may be enough water left in order to burn you later if you forget to move the selector to "dry" EVERY TIME you put up the iron FROM NOW ON!

I've decided to forget this iron instead. I've returned it for a refund. Once again, Five Stars go to Amazon for their near effortless refund protocol!

I also got the used iron! -- 2010-02-03

I got a used iron with water in the spray nozzle, condensation in the reserve and mineral deposits in the steam holes! right out from the box!!

Judging from the other 2 reviewers, they are either selling used irons or the same iron is tossed around.

I returned it, but I'm sure someone else will get it!
