 | Brother CS6000I 60-Stitch Computerized Free-Arm Sewing Machine with Multiple Stitch Functions
Awesome Buy!!! -- 2010-09-04 I did not purchase this from Amazon, but from Best Buys website after doing a lot of research. This machine is BEAUTIFUL. It has an automatic threader, that you must treat with care or otherwise will bend (which I did, but that was completely operator error), the bobbin winder is fast, the entire thing is a godsend. I'm teaching myself to sew and the manual that comes with the sewing machine not only teaches you the correct terminology for all the included accessories, but techniques like gathering, smocking, and the proper needles to use with specific fabrics. The included accessories make this sewing machine an even greater buy. Really, all you need is an idea and some fabric. It is powerful, (I've smashed my finger under the presser foot once trying to sew something I could not sew)and fast when put on the highest setting. It truly is a joy to use. I would recommend this for anyone looking for another sewing machine or for a beginner. Can't wait til I bust out some real apparel with this bad boy!!!
So simple to use! -- 2010-09-02 I love this sewing machine! I hadn't sewn in nearly 20 years and recently my husband purchased this machine for my daughters and I. I love it. It is so incredibly simple to use, even after so many years of not using a sewing machine. I started out simple making myself some valance curtains for my family room. They turned out great. I recommend this machine - at the price here on amazon it cannot be beat!

 | Michley LSS-202 Lil' Sew & Sew Mini 2-Speed Sewing Machine
Piece of crap -- 2010-08-31 This is the first time I'm writing a review because the item is not worth the money no matter how cheap it is. It dose not even sew material. After hours of working with the machine it couldn't even sew one little stitch. The thread kept breaking or getting jammed in the machine. Buy a real sewing machine, do not waste your money on this crap!!!
good starter sewing machine -- 2010-08-31 I bought this sewing machine as an on the go product, its perfect for that or for a starter sewing machine for all ages approved. best used on a table. you will have to make the proper adjustments such as lossen the thread to your liking. its cute and very useful. works great

 | Brother LS2125I 10-Stitch Free-Arm Sewing Machine with Automatic 4-Step Buttonholer
Excellent -- 2010-08-27 Got this sewing maching for $75.I have never used a sewing machine before. My mom taught me to do basic stitches.. It was so good and very very easy.. I loved it.
Does quite a bit for a simple little machine! -- 2010-08-11 I ordered this machine for simple projects like repairs, hemming jeans/pants, and making pillow covers or other easy-to-sew things for our home.
If you are gentle with it and take it slow, you can use a regular needle to do all of these things.
So far I have hemmed two pairs of jeans, made a pillow cover, and repaired the seam on a shirt. Haven't broken a needle, and the machine didn't seem to be overworked in the process.
I like the fact that there are not too many buttons to deal with and it is manual. I really don't need a fancy machine with so many options that it takes going to a class to learn how to use it.
I will say that it helps that I already learned to sew on something similar many years ago, so some sewing experience helps.

 | Brother XL2610 Free-Arm Sewing Machine with 25 Built-In Stitches and 59 Stitch Functions
all good, except one thing.... -- 2010-08-05 I have the sewing machine (Brother XL 2610)for about a month now. I bought the machine when my Singer's gear broke, and the sewing machines tech asked me for $150 to fix it. I found the broken part and I am going to fix it myself. But in the mean time I needed a sewing machine. So, I got on Amazon.com and searched for a cheap sewing maching that does the job.
So far, this machine is great, it goes over jeans fabric, or 3-4 layers of fabrics, doesn't skip, the manual and instructions are well written.
But there was something what wasn't in the manual... OILING. I called Brother Intl-USA, and asked them how to oil this machine. The CSR told me that it has to be done by a specialist at an authorized dealer in my area. Since I am very krafty, I asked him what kind of oil I need... He insisted that I can't do it because the machine has some electrical parts in it. However ... on the Brother's site, it says that the machine needs to be oiled about each 300-500 hrs of use. I looked online for the authorized dealer in my area (Sarasota, FL), and the lady there was very kind to tell me that I "got a Hell of a deal" on Amazon.com, by paying only ~$84. But the bad news is that the oiling is going to cost me $79.99 for a mechanical seing machine (like the one I have), and $89.99 for a computerized one.
Now, the good part is that the machine doesn't need to bo oiled only maybe once a year... but it will cost me as much as I paid to buy a new machine... So ... my idea is to just use it until it breaks and buy a new one...
SO, PEOPLE BE AWARE WHEN YOU BUY THIS MACHINE. IT IS A VERY GOOD MACHINE... BUT KIND OF DISPOSABLE...
I don't know if I would have bought this machine if I would have had this info... Fact is... I was very upset when I did the research and found out this oiling info.
Good luck to everyone.
Love this Machine! -- 2010-08-04 I had not done much sewing in 20 years or so when I decided to buy this machine. I love it! It is so very easy to use. It is easy to thread and my favorite part is the automatic needle threader. The bobbin is easy to fill and easy to load. The machine is heavy duty enough to manage heavier fabrics. I was working on a project with layers of velvet and was worried that it might get bogged down in a couple of areas with several layers but it went right on. This is a great basic, entry level sewing machine and a good value for the price. I highly recommend.

 | Brother PC-420 PRW Limited Edition Project Runway Sewing Machine
Great machine! -- 2010-08-17 I read all the reviews on Amazon and decided this was the right machine. I have been using it for over a month and love it! I am a beginner at sewing but this machine makes it so easy.
Perfect for all levels -- 2010-07-29 I've been sewing since I was little and just upgraded from a solid, mechanical machine by Singer (which I'd had for 10 years) to this one. I love all the features! I've yet to come up with a stitch it can't do or a project I can't complete easily. I've done a couple quilts, a set of curtains, and two dresses so far. I like that I can add embroidery to the quilts--a baby's name, the date, my initials, etc.--it feels so professional!
It is easier to master than my old machine and the instruction book is quite useful--mostly I've followed the instructions in the book the first time I did something (automatic buttonhole, blind hem stitch, etc) and then the next time I could do it without the instructions. I've also taught one of my friends to sew--her first time--and she found the machine easy and intuitive, so I think it's a winner no matter what level you're at, though it's certainly more expensive than a beginner needs. As a nice bonus, it included all the presser feet (including a walking foot for quilting!) and attachments and other accessories I need.

 | Brother XL-3750 Convertible Free-Arm Sewing Machine with Quilting Features
I Give Up -- 2010-08-15 I did not buy this from Amazon but I feel the need to comment anyway. I have been using this machine for almost two years - not sure how I've managed. I taught myself how to sew on this machine. Because I was such a novice, I was never positive if the issues were my fault or if the machine was the problem. I can safely say it is the machine. I agree with everyone that mentioned the thread tension. I spent hours researching how thread tension works and no matter what I did, nothing changed. My current problem is that the needle hits the presser foot. Again, I troubleshooted and it's nothing I did. I'm guessing that it might have something to do with the fact that the presser foot is so loose and can't be tightened. The manual is useless and I see no point in spending the money on repairs. I thought I was being frugal since I had no idea how to sew - big mistake! Save your money and buy something better...
Great product! -- 2010-07-29 I bought this as a gift and the recipient sews alot and she loves this gift!!!

 | Brother PED-Basic Software for Downloading Embroidery Designs
ped basic review -- 2010-07-02 Very easy to install and easy to use. Must Have for anyone interested in embroidery designs.
Does not work -- 2010-06-15 I have a Brother SE-350. When I entered the card in to the machine it simply said "This card does not work with this machine." I have no idea why that would be and am very frustrated.

 | Buttoneer Fastening System Refill Pack -100 Package
more than just buttons -- 2010-07-25 I already owned the Buttoneer. I purchased the refills. They're hard to find sometimes. I was using them to fix some cushions. I also used them to attach the arm covers on my sofa and loveseat. I got them here for a good price and they came quite promptly.
The Buttoneer -- 2010-07-17 This product is fine for a temporary repair to replace a button; long term break out the thread and needle.

 | Distinctive Narrow Rolled Hem Sewing Machine Presser Foot - Fits All Low Shank Snap-On Singer*, Brother, Babylock, Viking (Husky Series), Euro-Pro, Janome, Kenmore, White, Juki, Bernina (Bernette Series), New Home, Necchi, Elna and More!
Roll-hem presser foot -- 2010-07-03 Works great with my Babylock DenimPro (circa 1994?), on several fabrics (even flannel) and using zig-zag. Didn't work on straight stitch since I can't position the needle on my machine to far left or far right, center only, which causes the stitch to miss the roll entirely -- but that's a problem with my machine, not the foot.
Delivery was lightning fast, and the product was exactly as advertised. Thanks!
Great Foot - Makes Great Hems and Great Price -- 2010-05-22 I bought this distinctive hem foot after purchasing their 1/4" foot. It is a great fit for my machine and is just what I was looking for. I wanted to make small precise hems and this foot delivers. Works amazing with my lightweight fabrics on a short straight stitch. Great buy too, couldn't find it anywhere else that could even come close to the price.
