Hoover Tempo Widepath Upright Vacuum, Bagged, U5140-900Hoover Tempo Widepath Upright Vacuum, Bagged, U5140-900

Great Vacuum -- 2010-03-08
Works great. Picks up anything on any surface. Lightweight, easy to operate and handle. It's not as quiet as some, but I don't mind as I don't use my vacuum 24 hours a day. The hose and attachments are surprisingly really strong. They pick up almost anything.

the best -- 2010-03-08
We bought an electrolux several years ago but needed something that would vacuum floors. Consumer Reports stated that this Hoover worked well on non- carpeted floors. We bought it and not only does it work on non- carpeted floors it is great on them as well. Our expensive electrolux did not get all the dog hair but the Hoover was great!!!!!!!!!!

this thing is nice! -- 2010-03-08
I used to use a dyson hand vac but the battery died and cost too much to replace. This vac picks up almost as good and its a fraction of the price !

Love it! -- 2010-03-07
This is one super vacuum! It does so much and so well. I love how it can get into tiny cracks that other vacuums have missed.

Everything I expected! -- 2010-03-08
I use this vacuum for my stairs and for vacuuming my car. It's got GREAT suction and does everything I hoped for! I had done my research prior to buying this and concluded that this is the best hand-held vac out there and I am happy to report that it really is everything I expected. Highly recommended!

powerful -- 2010-03-07
This is the most powerful small vacuum I've ever used. It does pick up the cat hair which is why I purchased it. Cleaning the container is pretty easy. It is bulky, but very useful. I also prefer the corded type, because the cordless run out of power when you need it most and seem to wear out quickly.

Very easy to use and store away.

I empty the container and rinse the dust bag each time I use it.

Works great on my wood and ceramic floors.

Excellent Vacuum however..... -- 2010-03-08
This is an excellent vacuum however it is very heavy. Being of short statue and not very strong my husband usually does the vacuuming since we bought this. It takes off forward very easily but is very hard when pulling it back. "It probably picks up better than any vacuum I've ever had tho and I've had alot in my 65 years." I highly recommend this. It even picks up tiny threads that are always on my quilt studio floor.

You'll definitely get your money's worth -- 2010-03-06
Tired of picking up bits of dirt by hand that your vacuum missed? You won't be doing that with this Eureka. Great suction, for a terrific price. What we didn't realize when we bought it is, this vacuum has a forward motion, like a powered lawn mower. So it glides forward with little effort, however pulling it back means pulling against that forward motion, which I found to be a struggle. But my wife figured out that you just need to push the handle downward a bit while pulling back, and that lifts the vacuum off the floor so there's no forward motion. Handle up/glide forward, then handle down/pull back. Easy once you get the hang of it. Actually it would be a little easier if the handle was a little longer, then you wouldn't have to bend over when pushing down on the handle (probably not a problem if you're under 50). In any case, we're thrilled to finally have a vacuum that really sucks (in a good way).

great -- 2010-03-07
It works great. I used it on tile and sealed hardwoods. Would recommend this to a friend.

Does a really good job and fun to use! -- 2010-03-07
I have a very old house with hardwood floors everywhere, even in my kitchen. And somehow the kitchen is where everyone first ends up (with their dirty boots etc) so I never feel like my floor is clean. This mop does a terrific job and is really easy to use! I now quickly mop the floor every week in the kitchen and the pads are pretty dirty when I am done. Last week I did the floor and put down a coat of Orange Glo Floor refinisher (which is actually a coat of polyurethane) and I probably just bought myself 6 more months before I need to think about getting a professional in to refinish the kitchen floor - I've done that once and trust me it is not cheap!

I really recommend this mop!

Expensive -- 2010-02-15
These work great but Miele used to give you 5 bags for the same price.

Good item -- 2010-01-09
Go with the Miele Neptune, which was a gift. They like the vacuum, so the bags are a given.

Hoover U6485900 Windtunnel Anniversary Vacuum -- 2010-03-04
I purchased this vacuum at the insistance of the salesman at Best Buy.

As I was speaking to the salesman, another customer had already picked up the vacuum box, raving about the reviews he just read on this vacuum.

Please do yourself a favor and don't buy this vacuum, unless you like aerobic exercise. Although it has incredible suction, the attachments fly off and I am constantly having to bend down and pick them up. Many times they flew under the bed and tables, which is very, very annoying.

I have had flea problems and have to vacuum daily so I know how expensive the bags are (have to use one every day and then trash it immediately), and how inconvenient it is to have attachments that fly off the vacuum.

If I could, I would get rid of this crappy vacuum today in favor of a Dyson, which has a 5 year warranty.

I had a Hoover for 26 years and it was great, but this Wind Tunnel is a nightmare...pass it up or get a lot of exercise

I Do Not Recommend This Vacuum -- 2010-02-26
I have used this vacuum approximately forty times and I can't stand it at all. Amazon is usually an excellent resource for purchasing, however, they got it wrong this time. Spare yourself the aggravation and move on to another vacuum. The suction is okay, but the vacuum is heavy and the attachments are both cheap and useless. They are constructed of a toy grade plastic which will undoubtedly break causing you to have to purchase a replacement. They are also NOT riveted, so they fall apart constantly as you are in the throws of your joyous cleaning adventure. The other reviewers must work for Hoover, because I fail to see the genius here. It's going back!

what a surprise! -- 2010-03-08
I was having 2nd thoughts when I was on my way to the store to buy this thing, but figured if I didn't like it, I would just return it. My concern was that it didn't have a rotating brush. I have 3 cats and can never get all the hair up. When I got the vacuum out of the box, I saw that the little "fingers" at the front of the machine were kind of rubberie. The motor was really powerful, and combined with the fingers, it just pulled the hair from the furniture! I cleaned 2 couches, 2 love seats and 2 chairs in around 15 minutes and it looks like we don't have cats. I LOVE THIS THING! Price is good too...around $30.

Worth every penny! -- 2010-03-07
This vacuum may be small and lightweight but don't let that fool you. This vacuum doesn't mess around and is incredible powerful and easy to use. It was worth every single penny!

Dirt Devil M085590 Featherlite Bagged Upright Vacuum CleanerDirt Devil M085590 Featherlite Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Met expectations -- 2010-03-09
Had doubts before purchasing after reading some customer reviews.

1. Overall, great deal for the money, and I highly recommend this product. If you are interested in details, keep reading.
2. Noise level. I bought this one to replace another Dirt Devil (Swiwel Something) that died after working flawlessly for 10 years. The noise level of this one is actually lower.
3. Quality of plastic. The plastic indeed looks cheap -- the same kind they use to make toy trucks, etc. Scratches easily. Honestly, I don't care; the vacuum is out of site while not in use.
4. Cord. I have NO IDEA what people mean by saying that the cord inserts at the bottom and gets in the way. The cord inserts 10 inches from the bottom, and there is a snap below the handle holding the cord up at all times.
5. Hoes. Yes, there is a trick to detaching the hoes; you need to turn it quarter-way to detach and use. No big deal.
6. Sucking power. EXCELLENT while using the platform; when using the hoes, I certainly notice a difference as compared to my previous one (this one is weaker). This is probably the only negative thing I can mention about this vacuum cleaner. Again, the difference is not critical; still does a good job.

Hope this helps.

GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY! -- 2010-03-08
This vac is not loud like stated but yes it has a typical vacuum sound. Picks up great with self adjusting brush. As far as my attachments they work great and are not hard at all to utilize at least on mine. Overall for $39 you cant go wrong. Replaced my bagless Eureka which was junk like most bagless vacs it dont pick up after 6-10 months they are truly a waste of money. GREAT BUY!
