 | Honeywell Comfort Control Tower Fan
Quiet but light breeze -- 2010-08-04 I bought this fan because it came in white to match my room. It was easy to assemble and quiet on all three speeds, even oscillating, BUT the breeze is too light for me. I live in Los Angeles and my room gets extremely hot in the summers (and other times). I am using a box fan as a window fan (with open, big blinds holding the fan in place) and need an additional fan for when it is very hot. After sweating in my room for the last couple years with a regular fan on a desk, I am finally figuring out a good cooling system for my room. I will be returning this fan as the breeze is not strong enough for me and my room. If you are looking for a light breeze, this is a good, quiet fan. It is cheaper at Target for $29.99 regular price right now in stores.
Poor durability, will not withstand much abuse. Avoid this model! -- 2010-07-13 We purchased this fan for our 3 year old son's bedroom. 3 days after I assembled it my son accidentally tipped it over onto the carpeted floor of his room and the plastic shaft holding the fan to the base sheared off breaking the fan in two. I took the fan apart hoping to repair it with glue however the shaft broke right at the plastic sleeve bearing making repair impossible. I called the Kaz Company (the manufacturer that uses the Honeywell nameplate on this fan) customer service and their representative told me that they are not responsible for warranty coverage repair or replacement since the failure was due to negligence on the part of my 3 year old. She deferred the problem to the store that sold it by telling me to take it back to them and requesting an exchange. This is not the fault of the seller in my opinion. It is a poor design or defective workmanship on the molded plastic shaft that caused this failure. This is a cheaply made fan that cannot survive a tip over onto a carpet. Save your money for something better and avoid this model. I also noticed upon dis-assembly that the fan's motor has no ventilation whatsoever and the metal motor housing gets very hot inside of the fan's plastic housing. I plan to replace this unit with a commercial grade fan with an OSHA approved fan guard.

 | Hunter 90025 Century Portable Fan Oil Rubbed Bronze
Really nice and solid fan -- 2010-07-09 Got lucky with this fan, it's much better than a lot of the junk in stores this summer, nice and heavy, smooth and quiet and gets the job done. Very much like the old style fans and looks good too.
Better than I expected!!! -- 2009-11-19 This is a sturdy, well-made fan -- no plastic pieces. It is a heavy metal object. There are three speeds and it oscillates. It can also be tilted to aim right where you need the wind. The lowest level is pleasantly strong, mid-level is pretty windy, and the top speed is a bit gusty and loud. I am very happy with the quality and finish of the fan. Would highly recommend this oil rubbed bronze fan.

 | LASKO 30 In. Oscillating Industrial Fan
Great fan but missing some hardware -- 2010-09-05 This is a fantastic fan, very heavy duty and very reasonably priced. It would be a little difficult for one person to assemble, but 2 people can put the fan together without any problem. The only complaint I have is the box the fan was shipped in. The sides of the box fold over, and there are tabs along the edges that fit into slots cut into the box bottom. One of the small parts bags inside my box had split open during shipment, scattering nuts, bolts and washers. Some of those small parts fell out during shipment through the slits in the bottom of the box. I had to make a trip to the hardware store before I could assemble the fan. Once I got it put together, though, I was really impressed. This fan will really move a lot of air around. It's an industrial fan, though, so it's better suited for a garage or workshop. It's way too noisy for a bedroom fan. It would be like trying to sleep with a small plane taking off all night.
Does its job! -- 2010-08-28 Husband bought this fan for his work shop. I got a feeling that he may want another one for his garage. He's more than satisfied and said it puts out a great deal of air. So, I guess it's doing its job.

 | Duracraft DT-751-BCO Comfort for the Cure Fan
Great product for a great cause! -- 2009-04-01 I love this Comfort for the Cure Fan. I use it in my bedroom and it does a great job cooling the area. I also love the fact that some of my $ from the purchase is going to support a cause that I believe in. I highly recommend this fan to others.
Great fan for a terrific price -- 2009-01-13 I love this fan. It's great for the bedroom and office. The size is perfect without taking up too much space. It gets the job done when needed -- cool air in the summer and helps push heat from my portable heater in the winter. Would highly recommend this product.

 | Lasko 3-Speed 16" Oscillating Wall-Mount Fan
Best of The Plastics .... -- 2010-03-10 While not a HD fan, it is the best of the plastic osc.fans sold today ...
Very smooth & lots of air movement .....
We have tried ALL the other plastic fans and they are JUNK (vibrate hard) ...
Lasko Wall Mount Fan -- 2010-01-21 I bought this for my daughter. She has 2 small children and was afraid to leave a fan where they could reach it. This is perfect and works great. I'm going to purchase another one for my own home.

 | Optimus F-5285 8-Inch Electrically Reversible Twin 3-Speed Window Fan with Thermostat, white
stop working after 1 month -- 2010-08-17 the fan won't move just after 1 month use. I cannot find how to return this trash to the seller. It says the returnable date is over by Aug. 2. what the horrible situation....
I can blow harder! -- 2010-08-05 Horrible fan, it is quiet because it doesn't move the air! I thought that is what a fan is supposed to do, move the cool night air into the house! This one, the air can be barely felt even on high, like I said I could blow harder. If you want to move air into a house do not get this fan. I got it because at the time of my purchase the reviews were good.

 | Holmes HASF-99 10-Inch Velocity Blizzard Stand Fan
THE BEST, Most Powerful Fan! (my 2nd) -- 2010-06-25 I bought my 1st Holmes Blizzard fan about 5 years ago. I lived in an apt in Los Angeles w/ no A/C. Aug & Sept would get a little too warm to bare. I'd oscillate this fan to cover the span of my bed. And, it would cool off the area by 15-20 degrees. I ran that fan consistently for 5 years until the motor finally started to go out. When the dust would build up inside the cover, I'd stick the head under the kitchen sink or shower head for a few seconds (avoiding water getting into the motor) and it would clean up like new.
I now live in Marina del Rey, CA (on the water). Again, no A/C. But, it's much cooler on the water and, we don't need the A/C. I bought my 3rd Blizzard (the 2nd is a desk model in my home office) and keep it in the bedroom to help move air and cool us off at night if needed.
The fan is a bit loud. But, after a few nights it grows on you and becomes more of a "white noise" - which helps us fall asleep. Over the years, I've tested dozens of other fans in stores and friends' apts. NOTHING comes close to the power and cooling effect of the Blizzard. NOTHING! It truly feels like there's a compressor & coil in there cooling off the air it blows out!
Holmes HASF-99 Fan -- 2010-06-07 Small space fan, packs a punch. I love this fan! Dosen't take up much space you can change the height desk to floor. Has a stong wind that does really cool. The only con It can be really loud at bed time.

 | Lasko #2506 16" table fan, white
Lasko Fans -- 2010-06-24 I wish this fan came in 18". I love Lasko fans because of the easy snap together construction. It is so easy to dismantle and clean. This is my 7th Lasko. I won't buy another brand. Good quality, Good construction, Good price. You can even get parts to buy for them!
Fan Purchase -- 2010-05-09 This was a great experience.
I found the fan at Amazon.com, it was exactly what I had been looking for. The price was good and the shipping very quick.

 | Sunbeam STF300RC-U 3-Speed Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote Control
Perfect fit -- 2010-07-10 I prefer tower fans to the old-fashioned noisy round fans. This Sunbeam is by far the best tower fan I've had. The remote will usually work no matter which way the fan is facing and it's very quiet. I kind of lost my patience trying to assemble it, but finally got it right.
Not very quiet -- 2010-07-09 This fan pushes the air very well and truly cools the area. That said, it sounds like a jet plane going through the living room. The beeps, when you change cycles, are loud, and when you shut it off it is a long extended beep. It also wobbles as it oscillates, not a lot, but I wouldn't leave it oscillating if I wasn't in the vicinity. I wouldn't recommend this fan for a bedroom.

 | Holmes Tower Fan HT26-U, Black
Holmes Tower Fan -- 2010-08-02 Bought this yesterday at Target. Am going to return it this week. The base is difficult to put together..my husband can put anything together and this took him a half hour. I get more breeze out of my little floor vornado fan than this.
I like Holmes products in general, I have their air purifiers which work great but this fan is a bust.
Truckstop noise -- 2010-05-19 This little fan is all show and no blow. It must be imbalanced since it vibrates and roars when set to HIGH... but not much air gets moved.
A perfect fan for those who need to recreate the sound of a refrigerator-truck.
