 | Rowenta® MasterTM Ergonomic Steam Iron w/Scratch-resistant Stainless Steel INOX Soleplate
Rowenta steam iron -- 2010-08-20 I love this iron!!! The heat is perfect for each setting, it steams just right--not blobs of water left on the fabric. The soleplate is easy to maneuver around seams and small areas, and the handle fits my hand well. I have arthritis in my hands and it is not painful for me to iron with this design.
can't see water level -- 2010-06-26 works great, but can't see the water level, Dark blue tank is hard to see through.

 | Rowenta IS1430 1400-Watt Pro Compact Steamer
Frustrating, headed for the dumpster -- 2010-06-30 It leaks, it spots your silks and other delicate fabrics with water drops. The steam is unpredictable and you can stand there hoping it comes out for ten minutes at a time. Then, give up? Out it comes...all over everything. Skip this thing - it's a POS.
Wonderful gadget -- 2010-06-27 Love this steamer. It's sturdy, well made and doesn't take up a lot of room. Works wonderfully and so much faster than ironing! Totally recommend it!

 | Rowenta DX1900 Effective Cord Reel Iron
outstanding when all the buttons work -- 2010-03-21 This is my 3rd Rowenta Cord Reel Iron, unfortunately, this one has a sticky steam button, I hope it will loosen up over time. Otherwise, Rowenta vertical steam irons are the best in the business.
DX1900 = Junk! -- 2010-01-18 Very disappointed with the quality of iron. I couldn't recommend this iron to any - foe or friend. My DX 1900 effectively died after 2 years of mild use (i.e. ironing approx. 5 dress shirts a week#. Even prior to the iron becoming a paper weight I was having issues the it turning off and intermittent water leaks. My mom, who irons very little #i.e. 1 or two outfits per week), had her DX 1700 die in under 2 years. As long as the product is built in China, I will not purchase a Rowenta.

 | Rowenta IS-8100 Commercial Garment Steamer
Poorly designed -- 2010-07-23 Keep shopping. The steam starts and stops. The pole to hold the clothes is too short. The hose bends and cracks. If you call Rowenta they offer to sell you a pole extender or a new hose. Don't do it. Why give them more money for additions to correct their mistakes in design ? Also it is advertised to use tap water. After steaming take off the tank and you will see all this sort of white sand at the bottom which clogs up the unit. Wow...another way to break the machine and then they can charge you to repair it. This is a product that is designed to continue costing you for as long as you own it. If you buy it try to keep it going by using distilled water and disassemble it and lay the hose flat after use. When steaming you need something high to hang the garment on, the pole do it.
Pedals don't work -- 2010-05-25 I loved my Rowenta I-8100 until the pedals started not working. First it was the cord retractor, then the standby and now the on and off AGAIN. This happened a year ago also and I had the pedals replaced now it's happen again. I am so disappointed in this brand and their customer service. Maybe it's my fault for expecting Rowenta to be a better product. I will try the Jiffy as I've given up on Rowenta.

 | Rowenta Powerglide 2 Iron DX1700
NEVER BUY THIS IRON -- 2010-08-11 Iron has worked okay for me, except for the power cord.
LESSON LEARNED. NEVER BUY AN IRON IF THE ELECTRIC CABLE IS NOT FIXED.
I don't know why I bought an iron with a moveable cord.
Thinking back now, I never saw a problem with a fixed cord.
Maybe just thought it was cool.
Like other products, engineers design something but don't think long-term.
For last couple months, this iron has been shorting out.
Moving the plug around temporarily resolved the problem.
Working less often, though.
I read on the internet about someone drilling out the difficult screw heads, and fixing the wiring.
Sorry, but I am not going to take it apart, fix it, and put it back together with tape.
IT IS GOING IN FILE 13. Ended up buying a Black and Decker like the other one I have.
Do traveling, so I need more than one iron.

 | Rowenta Acti Steam Iron
So far, so good on Model DZ2061 -- 2010-07-13 I recently purchased this iron at Target and I am really happy with the results. The steaming action took the wrinkles out of my shirt immediately. It's versatile and not too heavy. PLUS, it's not made in China, but in Germany. I am very very happy with my Rowenta Acti Steam Iron.

 | Rowenta DG5030 Pressure Iron and Steamer
3rd time, shame on me -- 2010-08-27 Other reviewers had this nailed. Now I know I am not crazy. The first model of this was just fine- fine, until it just died. So I returned it, and got the newer model of it. This time, no matter what the temp. setting, it spit water instead of put out steam. Also the steam holes in the bottom can create "dimples" in the fabrics being pressed. The temp. settings are unreliable, and I have burnt fine fabrics with it, when on the last model that same setting was just fine. I too, called Rowenta, and they "duly noted" the problem, however they said there had been "no prior" complaints. ??
I had this very same problem with their Rowenta Professional Model as well, - it spit out water rather than produce steam, and leaked. I ended up returning that model as well, and opted for one of their "Made in Germany" models in hopes that it would be better quality, and so far so good. (however this one is for personal use only).
Reccomendation--DO NOT BUY.- Until they fix this manufacturing problem.
Otherwise, in the past 20 years I have had good products from Rowenta- As a professional in the garment industry.
Rowenta steam iron -- 2010-07-30 I recently purchased a new Rowenta Steam iron. This is the second resevoir iron I have purchased. I am a quilter so a good iron is critical to my work. My irons get a workout. The iron is on for several hours when I am working and I need the advantage of using steam selectively.

 | Rowenta DG-980 Expert Steam Generator
Good iron until it Breaks, ROWENTA SERVICE BAD -- 2010-07-30 I've had a couple of Rowenta irons. One regular iron that I had just went "POOF" one day and just stoppedstopeed working.
Bought a DG 980 steam generator and it worked fine until the switch broke. Sent it of to one of the authorized service centers. THREE months later. I received the iron back. I contacted Rowenta by phone, they don't offer email communication. I was told that the parts were on backorder and I could have the iron returned so I could send to another service center. Go figure. Paying for a 15 puond iron to be shipped all around. Furthermore, if one service center doesn't have a part, why would I ship it to another? Why would someone else have the part that is on backorder.
I contacted Rowenta again to find out who was incharge. THEY WOULDN'T give me a name. Said it was private information! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
Professional Iron setup by Rowenta -- 2007-12-23 I bought this iron myself and then one of my daughters sent me the ironing board with the rack to hold it. I use them all the time with my sewing and quilting and just love them! What more can I say?
