 | Conair GS20 Instant-Heat Professional Ionic Garment Steamer
NO COMPLAINTS -- 2010-07-30 I like the product and it's features. Plenty steam to get the wrinkles out. The only dislike is the garment stand is too short for my height (5'11)and the water containter does not hold a lot of water. The empty water container often appears to be full, but it's often empty due to my excessive usage.
Uh, stick to the steam iron -- 2010-06-17 This steamer took out wrinkles but wasn't to good on making the creases. The steam iron, from the lowest to highest, works faster and leaves your clothes looking crispy. Item not for those who want their clothes looking sharp. Looking for smooth then this is for you.

 | Singer ESP-2 Electronic Steam Press
Great investment -- 2010-08-22 I love this press it saves me so much time and does a great job. One word of caution - it is hot so watch your hands when you put clothing between the press (the top is hot). This item has also saved me about $ 30 a week in pressing at the dry cleaner. I can press a pair of pants in about 2 minutes. If I were to wish for one thing that would be a bigger water resevior but I can live with this one.
good -- 2010-08-22 Nice product. Only thing is that the board is little too small for my 2XL shirts (as well as XL). You burn top of your hands by accidently touching upper heating plate so you really have to watch your hands while moving around.
Built in sprayer is not impressive. Better to use hand held sprayer to spray water - much better and faster to get wrinkles out. It would get 5 stars if there more space between two plates and 4" longer plates and improve steam spraying.

 | SteamFast SF-140 1000-Watt Hard-Floor Steam Mop
believe the reviews! -- 2010-09-07 The only reason I even looked at this mop was because the reviews were so "hands-down" positive. And after using the mop myself I will tell you that it lives up to its reputation. I used it once, loaned it to a friend to try, and had to ask for it back! She used it to clean up dry wall dust and literally cried when it left her floors spotless. It cleans so well, and leaves almost no moisture (compared to a regular mop)! I'm back to buy another mop for my friend today. You can't beat the quality and especially not the value.
Better than expected -- 2010-09-03 After having bought a Shark that stopped steaming after 3 uses, I was hesitant to get another steamer. Read reviews on this product and at the low price felt it was worth a try. Was very easy to put together and though only used 3 times has done a great job each time. True it doesn't "sterilize" the floor, who needs that! If you want healthy kids who don't get sick at the drop of a hat, EXPOSE THEM TO ALITTLE DIRT(it builds immunity)! Definitely use about 2000-2200ml of water to avoid puddling. My floors dried quickly and looked great. The first time I used soap & water & a buffer due to the floor texture and the build up of dirt & other products. Used the steamer to clean any residual. Floors looked like new. Since, have used only steamer and they still look excellent.

 | Steam Buddy Handheld Steamer
IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. DON'T BUY IT!!!!! -- 2010-08-02 I bought one. Read all the instructions. Filled it with water, waited til the heating light went off, primed it 5-10 times as instructed and waited another 5-10 seconds... and nothing. No matter how long I waited or how many or few times I pressed the button NOTHING came out.
Exchanged for numero dos. Same problem.
I must have really wanted this bcs. I returned that and bought a 3rd.
This one actually produced a teeny tiny stream of steam but very inconsistently. Like I said, 'DON'T BUY IT!!!!'
I don't understand the bad reviews! -- 2010-07-28 I really feel that this product has a bad review rating because people took it out of the box, read the directions & didn't get immediate steam, so they assumed it didn't work. The directions that come with the product are misleading- saying that "when the red light goes off, the steamer is ready for use." If I'd only gone by the instructions, I would have assumed that it did not work. Like previous reviewers, I found that it BARELY gave off any steam at all. However, I took the attachment off,and after I WAITED ABOUT 3 MINUTES after the indicator light went off (signaling that it was ready to use) that thing was steaming like crazy! The directions clearly state that it does not give off a steady stream of steam, rather bursts as you push the button. That's exactly what it does- BIG BURSTS! Especially for the price- it's a great deal.

 | FRANZUS TS183MS Micro Pro Steamer for Travel
Love it! A Travel Must-Have -- 2010-07-04 As an avid traveler, I've purchased this steamer as a solution for those overseas hotels which don't provide irons. I used to pack Downy Wrinkle Releaser and make the best of it, but with this easy-to-use, dual-voltage device, I can steam my clothes on-the-go at home and abroad. Since it's a micro steamer, I wouldn't expect to steam a whole suitcase full of clothes on one fill. But it handles one or two outfits very well, and given how light and compact it is, makes for a must-have travel accessory.
Franzus/Conair Travel Smart Travel Steamer -- 2010-03-21 This is a great little steamer--the smallest possible for travel. It does take a while to warm up but worth the wait.

It steams your clothes but also burns your hands. -- 2010-03-29 We wanted to buy a steamer to save on dry cleaning costs. I researched several steamers on this site and finally settled on this one because of the "pause" feature and price.
After using it for several months, this is what I have found:
THE GOOD
1. It takes out most wrinkles and makes an unwearable wrinkly shirt into a wearable shirt. It's not pressed like it came from a dry cleaner but it can be worn without raising any eyebrows.
2. Steaming is less tedious than ironing.
3. The pause feature lets you leave the room and come back to what you were doing later without having to wait for the steam to get going again.
THE BAD
1. You have to be very careful while handling the nozzle. If you tilt the nozzle even slightly, the steam may burn your hand. If the hand that is not holding the nozzle is anywhere above the nozzle (even several feet), you may also feel a burn. If you try to steam the lower areas of your garment, you will feel a burn if you hold it there too long (10 seconds is too long). The pole should be taller and the chord should be longer so you wouldn't have to reach so low and avoid the sting of hot steam. I have learned that you have to keep the nozzle perfectly straight so that the chord is perpendicular to the floor and just move it up and down (never tilt it - a slight tilt could potentially burn you). I also try to keep my other hand as far as possible while handling the garment.
2. The wheels don't lock so sometimes you have to hold the steamer in place.
Overall, the steamer does what it's supposed to and I'd rather have it than not. Laundry that comes out of the dryer wrinkled is not so much of a chore anymore. I haven't gone out and steamed everything like some reviewers have but I did steam a pair of new curtains which were wrinkled when they came out of their packaging and most of the wrinkles came out. I would have never attempted ironing curtains so it was nice to have a steamer.
The time that it takes to steam shirts and pants is less than ironing but it really isn't much less. The difference for me is that I don't have to take out the ironing board, wait for the iron to heat up and they try to press the garment without ironing a wrinkle into it on the other side. The steamer will go around obstacles like buttons with no problem and you don't have to worry about wrinkling other parts. The steamer won't press the collar of a shirt though so you may still need that iron.
I don't use the steamer as much as I thought I would because I have to be extremely careful and even when I am, I feel a burn sometimes. It's really not as much fun as many reviewers say it is, however when I need a shirt dewrinkled, I'd rather steam than iron.
Wish I had thought of it sooner -- 2010-03-25 Honestly, I've never heard of anyone ever steaming their clothes at home. The thought just never occurred to me until I heard it mentioned on TV once. There are so many things that I have avoided wearing for so long because I could never seem to find a way to adequately iron around all the pleats and darts and seams and details.....oy. This is so simple because I can get out the wrinkles without creating any new creases.
That said, I did try to steam a pair of pants and either I was too impatient or the material wasn't the best to try to steam, because I ended up resorting back to my iron to take care of it. So, I wouldn't say it's time to throw away the iron, either. But this does so many things that an iron can't. Including making my suits look like they weren't tossed into the bottom of my backpack after work so I can wear them again without paying for a drycleaner to press them - yay!
So, I guess all that is about steaming in general - now for this steamer in particular. The designers should consider a brake so the wheels don't roll when you would like the unit to stand still. Otherwise, I can't think of a bad thing to say, and honestly, the wheels don't cause me any grief. The water heats up in seconds - it's really remarkable. Assembly was easy and it works well and quickly.

 | Jiffy 0892A Steamboard Vertical Garment Ironing Board
A Satisfied Customer -- 2010-07-07 I have used this item for a year and am completely pleased with it. It has saved me over $300.00 already. A great purchase.
Works Perfectly, But Pricey For What it is. -- 2009-11-20 It works as promised and is sturdy and will last forever. That said, it's pricey for a piece of plywood with cloth on it. If you had a couple hrs and half a handyman mind / the tools, then make it for like $10.

 | Professional Garment Steamer
It does straighten your clothes. -- 2010-08-15 This does straighten and freshen your clothes. But it does use a lot of water. Also it can be a little frustrating because there is no way of securing the shirt you hang. So it constantly moves and it becomes harder to steam.
Steamer to the rescue -- 2010-08-06 Steamer will keep your clothes looking like new. And you don't have to take them to the cleaners to be pressed.

 | Rowenta DG8030 Expert Steam Generator
JUNK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- 2010-09-03 The iron is great for about 2 months and then it starts spitting and leaking water. The generator gave up in about 6 months . I have owned more Rowenta irons than I can count and they never last. I won't buy another one.
Would like to know how it works but it doesn't!. -- 2010-08-01 I received this product a month ago and it doesn't get hot. Returned it after much hassle with the vendor. Still waiting for my replacement from All Brands.
