 | Black & Decker F1000 Steam Advantage Iron, White
Terrible Iron -- 2009-10-13 Got this iron thinking that it would be a quality product. Won't make that mistake again! This iron did fine for about a month, just long enough that I could not return it to the local store. Then, it started dripping constantly. We followed all the directions regarding cleaning, adding water etc. NOTHING worked to keep this iron from dripping. Clothes always have water spots, then today, it just quit working, won't even turn on!
Bad iron -- 2009-10-11 This iron has all the features you would need, but burns clothes. If you want to use the steam setting it burns the cloth to the iron then gets it on other things you are ironing. I have cleaned it, used lower settings, nothing helps. Would not recommend to anyone. Have ruined too many clothing articles.

 | Black & Decker IM310 Quick and Easy Iron with Nonstick Soleplate
Don't Bother! -- 2009-11-30 After years of use and finally wearing out my last Black & Decker Quick 'n Easy iron, I bought this newer model right away. Let's just say this is a genuine case of "they sure don't make 'em like they used to!". I realize this is very reasonably priced, however, it has so many shortcomings, you really should give a lot of thought to another model. The blue cover over the water holder is translucent - you cannot tell how much, if any, water you have in the iron unless your lighting is super bright and shining at just the right angle. However, the worst defect is that the iron just decides unpredictably to soak whatever you are ironing. So if you need something ironed to wear in a hurry - do not use the steam feature... OR have a blow dryer handy - you'll need it!

 | Black & Decker D1200 Digital Advantage Iron, White
Save your receipt! -- 2010-02-05 This iron died on me after about six months -- apparently something wrong with the digital chip, as the display shows "error", and the iron doesn't heat up. Black & Decker customer service is not too interested in helping unless you save your receipt. I must say, I am not in the habit of saving my receipts for every $30-40 purchase I make. My mistake, I guess, but I will not be buying another Black & Decker product anytime soon!

 | Black & Decker ICR515 First Impressions Cord-Reel Iron with Stainless-Steel Soleplate
Disappointed with the product and warranty! -- 2010-07-23 So the iron failed 8 months after I got it. Big deal, happens, off to warranty RMA land.
After paying $10 to have a replacement sent to me, I got a poorly packed, obviously refurbished iron.
That's not the same model.
Not even close.
No stainless steel soleplate.
No retractable cord.
No steam function.
The replacement is a Black & Decker Press 'N Go, which is available here on amazon for $12.
Totally done with B&D. I can't even begin to state how disappointed I am with this.
Attractive iron at a great price -- 2010-03-17 I have been using this iron for almost a month now and have had no problems. Great steam and spray. With the cord storage bottom it sits safely on the ironing board. It's heavier than most irons which I find gets clothes wrinkle-free faster. The only problem I can foresee happening is the cord reel giving out; I don't know the lifespan of it. I would buy this iron again.

 | BLACK&DECKER HOME TRAVEL IRON X50CP
Very disappointing -- 2009-12-04 I am a quilter. I purchased this iron to use when I attend quilting workshops as well as at home on a side table by my sewing machine. I have only used it for less than probably a dozen times and it no longer steams and leaks water.
Even though I purchased it on clearance for half price, it isn't even worth that if it doesn't work correctly or for a reasonable length of time, like at least 6 months.

 | Black & Decker ICR505 First Impressions Cord-Reel Iron with Nonstick Soleplate
Worst iron I have ever owned!!! -- 2009-11-07 My title says it all. I have never been so tempted to hurl an appliance across the room as I am when using this iron! It has a shut-off feature which kicks in after 8 minutes of non-use. Sounds like a great idea, but it never knows when to turn itself back on! It's supposed to have an internal motion sensor so that when you pick it back up, it starts reheating again. That RARELY happens though. I have stood there shaking the heck out of this thing, up and down, side to side, in a circle, mid-air figure 8s...nothing works! I tried turning it off, then on again, but to no avail. The only way I seem to be able to get it to acknowledge my presence is to unplug it and plug it back in. What a pain in the butt! And then this morning, the final straw. Right in the middle of ironing, I mean ACTIVELY ironing my pants, and the damn thing shuts itself off! It gives me the 5 little warning beeps and then starts cooling down. So not only are my pants still wrinkly, now they're also streaked with water dripping from the iron! This thing has one more time to mess with me and it's gonna find itself in a crumpled heap out on the curb! Oh and if you're wondering why I gave it 2 stars if I hate it so much, it's because when it DOES work (and that ain't often!) it will definitely knock the wrinkles out of whatever you're ironing, FAST! However, if you value your time in the least, look elsewhere and don't waste it on this clunker!!!
