 | Rowenta DX-8800 1500-Watt Professional Steam Iron
Best Rowenta Yet!! -- 2010-06-28 Just got his after my old Rowenta of 15 plus years went kaput.
This one glides like magic and has a big covered reservoir so you won't have to constantly refill it. The ergonomic grip is great.
Love it, love it, love it!

 | Rowenta Steam 'n Press Steambrush Iron DA-65
Worked great...but only once! -- 2009-10-21 The second time I used the Rowenta Steambrush DA-65, about halfway through my ironing job, a blue flame shot out the base of it, accompanied by a sparking sound, then the pop of a circuit breaker somewhere in the house, followed by a wisp of smoke and the scent of ozone. And that was the end of that. The Rowenta had a remarkably short and unproductive life; a most unimpressive product.
They sent me a used one -- 2009-08-17 They sent me a used one, which I maybe wouldn't mind, but I paid for a new one. It's performance is about average. I e-mailed them twice about it, and they told me to send it back, but I didn't want to be out the shipping costs. I just think they should be honest about what they are selling.

 | Rowenta RS-DG0123 Knob Trigger, Blue
Speedy delivery but lots of packaging. -- 2009-08-20 Product arrived even sooner to U.S. address than originally estimated. Direct shipment to Canada was not available. Item was about the size and weight of a baby toe but was packaged in a box that could have held a decent sized paperback. Still, it arrived safely.
2nd time replacing!!! -- 2008-04-20 We have owned Rowenta Steam Generators for a while now, this being our second one and although we love the over all product, the triggers need to be made better. I've replaced two triggers in less than a year and for a $250.00 iron that is ridiculous.

 | Rowenta Advancer Iron
Great design, poor longevity -- 2010-08-22 This iron is beautifully designed, with intuitive controls, a solid heft and an ample water tank. It also worked well as a vertical steamer, producing clouds of steam.
Unfortunately, I have had issues with the last two Rowenta irons I purchased. The Advancer started leaking after just over a year of use; three months later the rotary control broke off. My previous Rowenta began to leak within two years.
I agree with Cajun Casper - at this price, the build quality should be better! No more Rowentas for me. I recently purchased the Reliable Digital Velocity V100, which has an infuriating water-saver "feature" and is far from ideal, but at least appears to be well-made.
Best Iron I've ever Owned -- 2010-04-13 I recently had to replace a leaky Black and Decker. I was a little hesitant to purchase the Rowenta because of the price but I've very glad that I did. It does an incredibly better job than my old Black and Decker did and really makes ironing a snap. I'm now able to press my boyfriends khaki pants so well that they look like they were just picked up from the dry cleaner.
I love my Rowenta iron and am so glad I spent the extra money on such a quality iron - it really makes a difference.
