 | Oreck-Cordless Speed Iron, 1ct
Love this iron -- 2010-07-13 I love this iron, don't understand all the bad reviews. I have had mine for over 4 years, it works excellent. I use it both witht the cord and without. It is a very good iron, however, I got mine for free with my vacuum. If mine died, I would feel confident purchasing another one of these Oreck irons.
Awesome Iron -- 2010-03-14 Excellent condition. I works like brand new. If I had to purchase another one, it would be from this vendor

 | Rowenta DG-980 Expert Steam Generator
Good iron until it Breaks, ROWENTA SERVICE BAD -- 2010-07-30 I've had a couple of Rowenta irons. One regular iron that I had just went "POOF" one day and just stoppedstopeed working.
Bought a DG 980 steam generator and it worked fine until the switch broke. Sent it of to one of the authorized service centers. THREE months later. I received the iron back. I contacted Rowenta by phone, they don't offer email communication. I was told that the parts were on backorder and I could have the iron returned so I could send to another service center. Go figure. Paying for a 15 puond iron to be shipped all around. Furthermore, if one service center doesn't have a part, why would I ship it to another? Why would someone else have the part that is on backorder.
I contacted Rowenta again to find out who was incharge. THEY WOULDN'T give me a name. Said it was private information! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
Professional Iron setup by Rowenta -- 2007-12-23 I bought this iron myself and then one of my daughters sent me the ironing board with the rack to hold it. I use them all the time with my sewing and quilting and just love them! What more can I say?

 | Black & Decker F210 Variable Steam Iron with SmartTemp System and Nonstick Soleplate
Do not buy this iron!!! -- 2009-08-28 This iron is an absolute waste of money! Do not purchase this iron! It is very, very lightweight and the water continues to squart out of it every time you try to iron with it, and continues to wet your clothing. I used this iron only once and had to go back to my old one! I will have to return this iron for a refund.

 | Proctor Silex 17410 Easy Press Lightweight Iron
Perfect cheap clothes iron. -- 2009-08-17 The iron does what I need it to. And I couldn't get anything like it at a lower price unless it was a gift. I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.
Nice iron for the price -- 2009-06-14 This iron is nice for the price. It does squirt water a little strangely and the buttons are a little difficult to move. I end up just unplugging it rather than fooling with the dial to turn it off. However, I still think it was worth the cost. It does the job.

 | Reliable V95 Digital Velocity 1500-Watt Steam Iron
Heavy weight -- 2008-12-24 Iron is too heavy and you must manually turn on the steam when you want to use it. does have good steam action
Nice iron, but..... -- 2008-01-30 I also replaced a B & D with this wonderful new iron. It does everything it promises. But one thing I would change is the length of time it takes before it times out. Three minutes is a very short time if you are doing anything like quilting or sewing where you need the iron to be hot every 5 or 10 minutes. It seems I am always punching the button to get it to 'wake up' again. My old B&D had a 10 minute timer which was a lot better for what I use it for. Ironing yards of fabric, ironing shirts, etc when you are constantly using it, you can't beat the heat control and steaming action. But if you are doing crafts, look for one that has a longer 'time-out'. If there is a way to reprogram it for longer run time, I would love to know about it.

 | Sunbeam 4235 Steam Master Iron with Stainless-Steel Soleplate
Horrible Iron -- 2010-08-06 I quilt and sew a lot. I wanted an iron that would stay on for a while, since I don't like to have to wait everytime I iron a seam. This iron has lots of problems - not just for sewers. You have to tip it over to hear the click or it won't start heating up. Just turning it on doesn't make it heat up. It turns off after a very short while and you have to tip it and wait for it to heat again. It is very top-heavy and has fallen off my ironing board so many times that the bottom is all dented and scratched. It's dangerous, because if it falls off the board and hits the floor, it could burn your floor. I've only had it a few months. I highly recommend against this iron.
Limited Spitting -- 2010-07-25 I settled on this iron after countless hours reading reviews about irons. Our old iron had a spitting problem where it would leave large water spots on the clothing. In reading the reviews of other irons, even the high-end ones, I realized it was a common problem. This iron does not do that as much. At least, I haven't noticed anything significant yet. The weight is good and it slides/manuveurs smoothly.

 | Oliso TG-1100 Smart Iron
Don't buy it! -- 2010-08-01 If you want a product that is a big dissappointment get this one. Doesn't shut off, even when in off position, have to unplug it. Spits water spots on clothes and doesn't steam unless you pump the steam buttom, then it spits. Waste of money. The lift feature is a nusiance. Legs don't retract fast enough, bump them when I go to use iron. I have the TG 1200 model. Would rate it zero stars if that was an option.

 | Reliable Digital Velocity V100 Steam Iron
Best steam for a home iron -- 2010-04-18 I am a professional costumer, and am used to using industrial irons. This iron puts out the best steam I have ever seen in a home (non steam generator) iron. The iron puts out a fine mist and doesn't "spit." This particular model has the option of turning off the automatic shut off. I consider this an important feature since I do sew at home sometimes.
The iron is heavy, but I consider that to be a good thing. It is difficult to get a good press with a light weight iron.
It would have been nice if the iron controls had not been placed right at the spot where your thumb rests. And I think that the handle is a little thick which in addition to the weight makes it awkward to handle.
However, if you sew or have delicate clothes which might water spot, this is a very good iron because of the fine steam it creates. I have only had it for about a month, so I cannot speak to its longevity.
Reliable V100 -- 2010-04-13 Love the Reliable V100. I have owned many Rowenta's and all have failed in less than a year.
Even friends that have used the iron while visiting, ask me were they can get one.
