Annoying!! -- 2010-07-06 I can't stand this iron, which is unfortunate because it works really well. One of the "features" of this iron is the auto shut-off, which it does if left in any of 3 different positions (upright, on it's side, or flat on it's ironing plate) for too long. It beeps (loudly) to tell you the auto shut-off has been activated so you can move it to keep it on. I understand and appreciate why they did this, but it beeps when USING it after 30 SECONDS, EVERY 30 seconds! Literally! I don't know if mine's defective because no one else mentioned this, or maybe I just iron longer than most people, but it's SO frustrating! You have to tip it upright every 30 seconds so that it doesn't shut off. I don't get it! It needs to have a motion sensor that can tell when it's being moved back and forth when flat (like you do when ironing). It's a great iron, but not worth the headache.
Broke after 1 year -- 2010-03-23 The iron got the job done. I never had any issues with rust or staining so I was quite satisfied. Unfortunately the steam dial got stuck on low steam after 1 year so I had to replace it. If it had been built to last I would have given it 5 stars.
Best Iron ever! -- 2010-01-25 I bought this iron cause my old one broke and this one was on sale...it has been the best iron I have ever had...I've never had any problems with it not even dripping...It's inexpensive and it does the job well...I think the best part that I like about it is the plate which I have noticed that it irons smoothly almost gliding as I'm ironing...I have actually had many of my family members and friends get one after using mine!
Worked great untill it rusted. -- 2009-11-17 I bought this iron less than six months ago and loved it up until it decided to get rust spots all over my white duvet cover. I was steaming the wrinkles out of my sheets when I noticed the unit starting to drip rust colored water all over. I empty the unit after each use and make sure that it is dry before I store it. I do not believe the iron lives up to its drip proof claim, otherwise how could it have rusted internally and ruined my fairly expensive duvet cover. I also noticed some build up around the ports in which the steam exits leading me to believe that this iron is not the best bang for your buck.
